January closes with the UK premiere of Zoe Wolfe‘s We Make The TV Glow(2025), a feature-length glitch remix of Jane Schoenbrun’s modern classic I Saw The TV Glow (2024) by nine trans video artists that transforms the original into a somehow even more transsexual, and more primitively emotional experience, tickling your retinas and tapping right into the marrow of everything evoked by the story and imagery of what is already a cult phenom, while incorporating new and original music, and even footage from Twin Peaks.
Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons, The Voyeurs) and Jack Haven (Castration Movie Anthology ii) star as the heroes of a narrative that is bent, warped, and re-affirmed over the course of this startlingly effective work of distortion.
