Transmissions presents THE LITTLE MERMAID (1989)

On closing night of Animania, we’re joined by Transmissions staff and local legend Heather Estradiol (of Kate Cobain truther fame) for a rather unlikely screening of Disney’s classic fairy tale about trying to get gender affirming care in the UK.

But it wouldn’t be a finale let alone a night programmed by Heather if there wasn’t a PowerPoint involved, right?

So join us downstairs (under the sea?) at Dalston Superstore for a presentation on author Hans Christian Andersen’s potential dolldom/baby girl status, the source material for the film, his other work, and much more than you ever signed up for and then…eventually, we’ll put the cartoon on.

Promise.

“Ursula was hoarding all the estrofem and making the baby dolls agree to all manner of weird shit just to get some”

Subtitles will be displayed throughout.

Seating is a mixture of backed chairs, benches, bar stools, and floor space, and is first come first served.

Free tickets and donor options available via OutSavvy
