Yalla!

Yalla! Party Project is an Arts collective based in NY centering QSWANA, QTBIPOC and their besties. Back in 2017 they started an important Queer SWANA Club movement in Brooklyn that has given birth to many similar groups and parties as they championed intentional and immigrant forward safer spaces  that celebrate brown cultures in a judgment free zone for healing and representation.

Their emblematic monthly party that started it all features international and local DJs spinning a variety of world dance music and diasporic sounds spotlighting Arabic pop, South Asian, Middle Eastern bangers, Afrobeat, Baile Funk and diverse global grooves honoring the healing powers of intentional spaces and the vibrant communities behind them.

Yalla! Party Project features a rolling artist series throughout the year, a small business directory called Yalla! Pages, as well as a Souk Market highlighting Queer and Women owned businesses and artisans. Yalla! Project has been featured at The Brooklyn Museum First Saturdays, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! with Habibi Festival, also in the New York Times, Resident Advisor, Time Out Magazine and Bklyner among others. Catch them on their annual World Tour for a #yallatherapy session in a city near you.

We’re so excited to be back for another takeover in our London home, The Dalston Superstore! We’re raging and dancing it all off on both floors! We can’t wait for this #YallaTherapy session with our beautiful London community.

Door Policy
Dalston Superstore is a queer space. We prioritise our LGBTQIA+ customers and will sometimes ask our straight & cis allies to support us by not taking up room in our venue. Please be conscious of who this space is intended for and be respectful. Never assume sexuality or gender identity. We will never ask personal questions on the door.

Low/no income access
