Get ready, London! Popola‘s Twerk Temple returns to the beloved Dalston Superstore for our bi-monthly residency on FRIDAY, August 15th!

 As a QPOC-led movement, Popola is all about celebrating and unifying Queer Latinx and Afro-Caribbean diasporas. This night is a vibrant dedication to diasporic queens, QPOC babes, and allies ready to worship at the altar of radical self-expression. We’re creating safer spaces that honour authentic cultural expressions and foster genuine integration, recognising the beautiful complexity of our intersectional heritages and identities.

Prepare to unite through the powerful rhythms of our heritage: Reggaeton, Soca, Dancehall, Salsa, Afrobeats, and more. We’ll honour the culture with explosive, culo-shaking beats that perfectly blend Latinx & Afro-Caribbean sounds. Our fire lineup of DJs, go-go dancers, and performers will turn every move into an act of resistance, transforming music and movement into liberation.

Beyond the dance floor, we’re taking our activism further by partnering with relevant charities to amplify vital causes. Come shake your culo, connect with the community, support meaningful work, and help us shake the system!

Door Policy
Dalston Superstore is a queer space. We prioritise our LGBTQIA+ customers and will sometimes ask our straight & cis allies to support us by not taking up room in our venue. Please be conscious of who this space is intended for and be respectful. Never assume sexuality or gender identity. We will never ask personal questions on the door.

Low/no income access
