“Live Wire, my second album, will be out on October 4th. This record was written over a year where the last thing I wanted to talk about was violence, and its relation to my queerness. I’ve done it so much, I wanted to think about and feel about what it meant if I could live beyond a marker I’ve become so used to thinking with first. This album is about happiness, the bittersweetness of time passing, trying to live, trying to tell people you love them and failing, eating oysters for lunch and ass for dinner. In terms of the production, we wanted to create songs where vastness and intimacy existed in the same place, or where there was enough space for a listener to get inside the song. I couldn’t be prouder of these songs and of where this writing process took me.”
