‘AntimonuMeth’ provides an opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in a thought-provoking narrative that correlates the ongoing meth consumption with the 80s and 90s HIV/AIDS epidemic. Presented for the first time in Mexico City earlier this year, this exhibition serves as a poignant commentary on the pervasive nature of crystal meth consumption within LGBTQ+ communities.

Artist Eugenio Echeverria’s innovative approach combines art and technology to create a deeply engaging experience for viewers. By leveraging VR technology, Echeverria’s artistic vision delves into the intricate dynamics that underlie these behaviours, raising questions about substance, sex, intimacy, and pleasure and the impact of societal expectations.

“Globalisation has also imposed itself on gay sexual practices and in the same way that we share patterns, care strategies, logics of desire and even ideas about limits we must also share a dialogue between peers that goes beyond gay normative discourse. AntimonuMeth is a space to question ourselves from Mexican and London fag experiences.
