For the finale of our March season of bold, explicit, and uncompromising queer cinema, Queer As In Fuck U, we’ve looked to one of the true masters of provocation, France’s infamous auteur Catherine Breillat.
Anatomy of Hell (2004) chronicles four nights between a suicidally depressed woman and the gay man she picks up at a club and pays to “watch her when she is unwatchable”, observing her body, and hearing her proclamations about sex, gender, and patriarchy.
Join us for this chic and at times shocking piece of arthouse mastery that continues to polarise viewers who either see it as feminist or unacceptably obscene.
