On night four of Crimes of Passion: Criminal Dykes, we’re back again for a second helping of sapphic spy games from this month’s programmer Heather Estradiol.
Director Corey Yuen‘s So Close (2002) follows a conflict of interest between two assassin sisters that’s further complicated as they’re pursued by the criminals who hired them, and the female detective hot on their trail.
Stylish to a ludicrous degree, So Close (2002) is the lesbian shampoo ad/Hong Kong action film fusion you never knew you needed, but will never want to live without.
 
The iconic Shu Qi (Millennium Mambo, The Assassin) stars alongside Wei Zhao (Shaolin Soccer), Karen Mok (Fallen Angels), and more.
