Transmissions presents MURIEL’S WEDDING (1994)

There’s talented actors, and then there’s Toni Collette.

Before conquering Hollywood, before becoming a mother to us all in Hereditary, or getting her ass eaten on HBO by Colin Firth, or even before playing a woman with multiple personalities on cult-favourite United States of Tara, the Aussie talent made her mark in a homegrown classic about an ABBA-obsessed outcast stuck in a tiny town called Porpoise Spit.

Legendary drag performer Nat Funni yet again flaunts impeccable taste as this month’s guest curator with a screening of Muriel’s Wedding (1994).

Come find us downstairs at Dalston Superstore where every week we provide a home (and free snacks) for East London’s trans community and the film lovers amongst them.

“You’re terrible, Muriel!”

Subtitles will be displayed throughout.

Seating is a mixture of benches, backed chairs, bar stools, and floor space, and is first come first served.

Free tickets and donor options available via OutSavvy
